Kibria Nasir is a PhD researcher at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham. Her research engages with embodied and performance-based methodologies through the study of intercultural and regional theatre practices, including adaptations of Shakespeare.

Working across literary scholarship and performance practice, she is interested in how embodied knowledge is generated, translated, and documented, and in the use of video as a critical and methodological tool in performance research.
