Andres Roccatagliata (He/Him) is an audiovisual anthropologist, filmmaker, and researcher based in Catalonia. He holds a degree in sociocultural anthropology alongside Master's degrees in film and digital communication and new technologies. Currently, he is an AGAUR-funded industrial PhD candidate in the Integrated Care and Health Services program at the Universitat de Vic (UVic) within the ISAMBES research group, conducting his research at the CAP EBA Centelles primary care center. His work bridges ethnographic methodologies, community well-being, and contemporary artistic practices. As a documentary filmmaker, his creative portfolio focuses on social cinema and ethnographic non-fiction, including works such as London Non Permanent Home, Babylondon, and Sweet Butter Tea. His research explores the intersections of material culture, temporal resistance, and the application of interactive and extended reality (XR) media within community health contexts. His writing has been widely published in peer-reviewed spaces, including recent articles in the Journal of Embodied Research (JER) and Visual Ethnography.
